Education/Work Experience
- Obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology (Life Base) from the School of Life Sciences, Shandong University from 2010 to 2014;
- In 2020, graduated from the School of Life Sciences, Peking University, majoring in Zoology, and obtained a Doctor of Science degree.
- From 2020 to 2023, I conducted postdoctoral research in ecology at the School of Life Sciences, Peking University.
- Since 2024, I have been employed in the Department of Ecology, College of Life Sciences, Beijing Normal University.
Hosted/Participated in the project
Hosted one National Natural Science Foundation general project and one Youth Fund project, one China Association for Science and Technology Youth Talent Support Project, and one new teacher development project at the School of Life Sciences, Beijing Normal University. Participated in multiple National Natural Science Foundation general projects, joint fund projects, etc.
Part-time work and academic services
Serve as Molecular Ecology、Molecular Ecology Resources、Integrative Zoology and Biodiversity, and am a member of the Youth Working Group of the International Association of Zoologists.
Personal Profile
Zhang Shan has long been engaged in research related to molecular ecology, biodiversity monitoring, and environmental DNA. She focuses on community changes and conservation issues in urban ecosystems and is committed to applying basic research methods to ecological conservation practices.
